FUNCAP is our grant FUNding CAPacity development program for non-profits working in international cooperation. It concentrates on the grant funding process, encompassing all the essential steps required to secure grants from various sources such as foundations, government donors, corporations, UN agencies, funds, or alike.

It equips non-profits with the skills and resources needed for grant fundraising by providing (1) training (on and offline); (2) practical and easy-to-use tools (Word, Power Point and Excel templates); as well as (3) individual coaching (personalised one-to-one coaching on specific work packages throughout the entire grant cycle).

Module 4: Donor Stewardship

This is the fourth and last step in the grant funding cycle. This crucial final phase encompasses various strategies for effectively maintaining and nurturing relationships with your funding partners. It includes guidance on crafting compelling impact reports, a simple MEL framework and other methods of communicating both your successes and challenges. Most importantly, this stage focuses on how to strategically prepare for your next grant application.

What is included in this module?

This module includes: (1) a 4-hour online training for your team via Zoom; and (2) 5 coaching days during which we develop a stewardship calendar together, improve your impact reports and develop a simple MEL framework with your team.

What is the concrete output?

We will develop a stewardship calendar together which is a vital planning tool to manage your interactions with donors and stakeholders throughout the year. It ensures important dates and touchpoints are systematically addressed, fostering strong relationships. By identifying key dates, mapping out touchpoints, assigning responsibilities, determining communication channels, scheduling follow-ups, and regularly reviewing and updating, we will help you to effectively engage with donors and maintain their support.#

Furthermore, we specialize in crafting engaging and concise donor impact reports. We demonstrate how to blend storytelling with statistics, incorporate meaningful images, and utilize various techniques to convey enthusiasm, emotion, and a human touch. Our goal is to ensure that your reports are not only informative but also captivating and compelling for your donors to read.

Last but not least, we assist you in developing a simple Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) framework for your project or program to track, assess, and learn. This entails setting objectives, collecting and analyzing data, monitoring progress, evaluating effectiveness, providing feedback, and utilizing findings to make informed decisions. This ensures that your donors are pleased and well-informed about the significant impact you are achieving.

You will be provided with practical and hands-on templates such as our FUNCAP Tool to manage your data across the whole fundraising cycle as well as a stewardship calendar, impact repots and a MEL framework. As additional bonus, you are given a 12-months TripleFunds access for free at the value of 348€.
