Description
1) About
Set up in 1954 by the Austrian philanthropist Guido Feger, the aim of the Foundation is to support non-profit organisations that implement social, cultural and/or humanitarian projects. They also provide funding for individuals in need. Most social/cultural projects are funded in Liechtenstein and Switzerland, while humanitarian projects may be implemented anywhere in the developing world.
2) Thematic Interest
- Social inclusion
- Children, youth and elderly people
- Persons with disabilities
- Education and training
- Arts and culture
- Development cooperation (incl. emergency relief)
3) Focus Countries
For their humanitarian project funding they have no focus countries (developing countries).
4) Application Procedure
A project proposal can be submitted online (with additional project description and budget documents to be uploaded as annexes), on a rolling basis throughout the year. Please note that the Foundation has four Board meetings per year (exact dates are usually displayed on their website, usually in February, May, August and November) and to be considered for a Board meeting proposals must be submitted at latest one month beforehand. Individual grant sizes differ and may be in the range between CHF 5,000 and CHF 20,000. Individuals in need are also eligible to apply for financial support.
