1) Objective

The Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State announces an open competition for FY 2024 Cultural Property Agreement Implementation Grants. Organizations may submit applications to the U.S. Embassy in Morocco for funding through the Cultural Antiquities Task Force (CATF) to carry out an individual project to protect cultural property from looting, theft, and trafficking.

The CPAIG Grants Program for Morocco supports projects that contribute to the implementation of provisions in the determinations of the cultural property agreement between the United States Government and the Moroccan Government.

2) Eligibility

Eligible applicants include Morocco-based nonprofits/NGOs, Moroccan public entities, U.S. nonprofit organizations (IRC section 501(c)(3)), and U.S. higher education institutions.

3) Location

Actions must take place in Morocco.

4) Budget

The total funding available ranges from $10,000 to $150,000.

5) Application

Proposals are due by December 21, 2023, and should be submitted to Rabatgrants@state.gov. The application process includes submitting project ideas and concept notes, followed by full proposal submissions if selected for Round II.
