Description
1) Objective
The Tibet Fund (TTF) is pleased to announce an opportunity for Tibetan Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in South Asia to take part in the 2024 Tibetan Civil Society Empowerment Program (TCSEP). This program aims to empower Tibetan-led NGOs to address critical needs in the fields of education, health, sustainable livelihoods, gender equity, culture, and the arts.
The primary objective of TCSEP is to increase the impact, effectiveness, and sustainability of Tibetan NGOs working to address community needs not met by other programs or existing services. TCSEP also aims to empower local community members, in particular youth, to actively serve their communities, improve lives, and make positive social change.
2) Eligibility
Eligibility is limited to Tibetan Non-governmental organizations.
3) Location
Actions must take place in Tibet.
4) Budget
Awards will range from $5,000 to $40,000 per grant for continuing partners, and up to $10,000 for new applicants. In addition to offering small grants, TCSEP will provide organizational development training and mentoring to enhance organizations’ effectiveness in accomplishing their respective objectives. New applicants should demonstrate their potential to establish multi-year partnerships with TTF, enabling them to expand their organizational capacity and impact. Existing TCSEP grantees are strongly encouraged to apply to continue their partnership with TTF.
5) Application
The deadline for proposal submission is October 6, 2023.
