Description

1) Objective

This Action aims to support the organisation of sport events with a European dimension in the following fields:

  • Volunteering in sport;
  • Social inclusion through sport;
  • Fight against discrimination in sport, including gender equality;
  • Encouraging the participation in sport and physical activity including: a) the implementation of the Council Recommendation on health-enhancing physical activity, the EU Physical Activity Guidelines and the Tartu Call for a Healthy Lifestyle b) the support to the implementation of the European Weeks of Sport c) the promotion of sport and physical activity as a tool for health d) the promotion of all activities encouraging the practice of sport and physical activity including traditional sport and games and intergenerational sport.

2) Eligibility

Eligible is any public or private organisation, with its affiliated entities (if any), active in the field of sport, established in an EU Member State or third country associated to the Programme.

3) Location

Actions must take place in EU Member States. In addition, in accordance with article 16 of the Erasmus+ Regulation, the following third countries are associated to the programme (15 Subject to the signature of the Association Agreements between the European Union and those countries): members of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) which are members of the European Economic Area (EEA): Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein; acceding countries, candidate countries and potential candidates: Republic of North Macedonia, Republic of Turkey and Republic of Serbia.

4) Budget

The total available funding is €6,000,000.

5) Application

The application deadline is 23 March 2022. A full proposal must be submitted online.
