Description
1) Objective
The global objective of this call for proposals is to strengthen capacity of local and national CSOs, particularly women’s and youth organisations, to engage in gender equality and youth inclusion The specific objective(s) of this call for proposals are:
1. To prevent Gender-Based Violence and femicide in public and private spheres transparency and thereby strengthening deterrence and detection of corruption, in both the public and private sectors.
2. To enhance youth and women economic empowerment and financial inclusion
2) Eligibility
In order to be eligible for a grant, the lead applicant must: (1) be a legal person and (2) be non-profit-making and (3) be a specific type of organisation such as: non-governmental organisations, organisations representing indigenous peoples, community – based organisations, advocacy organisations, organisations representing national and/or ethnic minorities, diaspora organisations, migrants’ organisations in partner countries, local traders’ associations and citizens’ groups and (4) be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary.

Actions must take place in South Africa.
4) Budget
The overall indicative amount made available under this call for proposals is €3,197,675. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum €400,000 and maximum €800,000. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum (50%) and maximum (90%) percentage of total eligible costs of the action. The initial planned duration of an action may not be lower than 24 months nor exceed 36 months.

The concept note together with the declaration by the lead applicant must be submitted online via PROSPECT. The deadline for the submission is 10 February 2023.
