Description
1) Objective
The FCDO invites bids by 22 December 2025 to deliver one component of the Building Peace and Stability in Iraq programme. This includes activities related to durable solutions and leading at least 6 local non-governmental organisations. Building Peace and Stability in Iraq has been delivering since 2023. Its current programme outcomes delivered by the IRC-led component are:
- constructive dialogue and engagement: community groups (including men, women, marginalised groups, youth, and community leaders) engage to identify specific drivers of conflict, promote social cohesion, and reduce discrimination
- access to justice and durable solutions: people impacted by displacement can access justice and exercise their rights to achieve durable solutions
- strengthening policy advocacy and institutional reforms across issues relating to durable solutions
- ares most affected by displacement are re-assessed through community-informed design of solutions to displacement in support of peaceful and sustainable reintegration
- barriers to durable solutions, drivers of displacement, and of community tensions are addressed through quick impact projects (QIPs), access to adequate housing, livelihood opportunities and evidence building
- civil society and affected communities have increased capacity and access to inclusive spaces for dialogue to support resolution of displacement barriers and strengthen community cohesion
Organisations must: be legally registered in Iraq and be a not-for-profit organisation.
