Description
1) Objective
The eruption of conflict and the associated displacement, and limited access to food and services has led to a significant increase in humanitarian needs, including food insecurity and malnutrition in Sudan. The latest IPC, released in August 2023, indicates that over 20.3 million people in Sudan, which constitutes over 42% of the country’s population, are experiencing high levels of acute food insecurity (IPC Phase 3 and above) during the July to September projection period. Of this, 14 million are in IPC Phase 3 (crisis) and 6.3 million are in IPC Phase 4 (emergency).
Expected results: To increase food access and availability on an impartial basis to food insecure people.
2) Eligibility
NGOs and INGOs with presence and proven capacity to operate in Sudan, and with an existing cost-efficient cluster presence/approach are eligible to submit their technical and financial proposals. It is essential for organizations to demonstrate their competence and experience in implementing similar activities as per the focus areas of general food assistance (GFA) through cash and in-kind transfers.
3) Location
Actions must take place in Sudan.
4) Budget
