Description
1) Objective
This year, the 2024 general call for projects highlights the following priority topics:
- Specific disability and temporalities;
- Disability and mobility;
- Disability and access to justice.
However, please note that this call for projects is open, these 3 topics are not mandatory and FIRAH is also interested in receiving applied research proposals outside of them.
Applied research will have to lead to results with practical, useful and usable benefits for people with disabilities, their families, caregivers, professionals, etc. They will also offer final deliverables to transfer the knowledge produced to these field actors. To do this, the research will have to be the result of real collaboration, throughout the research process, between people with disabilities, their families, accompanying persons, professionals and researchers.
2) Eligibility
The main project leader can come from all countries in the world. For projects with a non-French project leader, a partnership with at least one French organization must be set up, in order to develop international cooperation. This organization will be involved in the steering committee and will have to ensure the conditions allowing activities on French territory. It will be according to the case: a research team or an organization working in the field of disability.
3) Location
Actions can take place worldwide.
4) Budget
The research projects will be financed by the FIRAH for a maximum of €75,000.
