Description
1) Objective
This CFEI is aimed to develop a contingency HPD to cover the possible AWD/Cholera outbreaks and ARI , Measles outbreaks in peak season time in 42 high risk districts of 9 provinces in North and possible flexibility to other districts if required. Main objective: Scale up prevention, reduce occurrence and and AWD to <1% including among people in the high-risk and priority districts of high-risk provinces (Faryab, Saripul, Jawzjan, Balkh, Samangan, Baghlan, Kunduz, Takhar, Badakhshan) of North region and control the severe ARI and Measles outbreaks in areas where normal health facilities cannot provide services
- Specific objective 1: (Health and Nutrition) –Â Raise awareness among people for health practices to prevent occurrence, reduce incidence and keep mortality due to AWD bellow 1%
- Specific objective 2: (WASH):Enable and improve access of people in affected areas with AWD/Cholera to safe drinking water, hygiene, and sanitation practices
2) Eligibility
Organisations must have experience in the sector and presence in the region.
3) Location
Actions must take place in Afghanistan.
4) Budget
The budget is $1,200,000.
