Description
1) Objective
A new call is launched by the Pacific Permanent Secretariat to support projects in 2026 from the “Pacific Fund for Economic, Social and Cultural Cooperation”, known as the “Pacific Funds” (PF). The “Pacific Fund” is one of France’s regional cooperation instruments in the Pacific, financed by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE). It contributes to the regional integration of French communities (New Caledonia, French Polynesia and the Wallis and Futuna islands) and develops regional cooperation with the Oceanian States.
Priority will be given to scaled projects that are likely to have a lasting, concrete and perceptible impact for the beneficiary populations. As such, projects that result in the implementation of light infrastructure with low maintenance requirements for populations will be preferred. The eligible themes for 2026 are those related to sport, as a vector of cooperation and exchanges between Pacific territories and States, the development of the audiovisual sector and promotion of the Francophonie. More broadly those related to the “Strategic Plan 2022-2031” of the Pacific Community and the “2050 for the Pacific Blue Continent” strategy of the Pacific Islands Forum, in particular: climate resilience, food security, sustainable economy, public health, protection of natural resources, connectivity and social development.
2) Eligibility
Associate at least one of the three French territories in the Pacific (New Caledonia, French Polynesia, Wallis and Futuna) in a partnership with an independent Pacific State.
3) Location
Actions must take place in the Pacific.
4) Budget
The Pacific Fund contribution must not exceed 50% of the total project cost.
5) Application
Projects must be sent to the Permanent Secretariat for the Pacific (SPP) at the following address: fondspacifique.spp@diplomatie.gouv.fr by 31 December 2025.
