Call for Project Proposals to Support Civil Society for Local Development Contribution

Description

1) Objective

The YouSEED – Youth Explore Rural Development Through Social Economy project is a three-year initiative aimed at strengthening the role of young people in rural development through social economy principles. This call for proposals seeks to support innovative service models that contribute to collective, ecological, and social impact by engaging civil society, social enterprises, and organizations working to empower local communities.

The focus is on projects that bring long-term benefits, particularly in environmental protection, sustainable development, and social inclusion. Funding is available for initiatives in 20 municipalities across Montenegro, including Andrijevica, Berane, Bijelo Polje, Kolašin, Mojkovac, Rožaje, Gusinje, Plav, Pljevlja, Šavnik, Plužine, Petnjica, Žabljak, Tuzi, Zeta, Nikšić, Danilovgrad, Cetinje, Bar, and Ulcinj.

2) Eligibility

Eligible applicants must be legal entities registered as non-profit organizations, networks of civil society organizations, or social enterprises. They must have Montenegrin nationality, operate in the specified municipalities, and be directly responsible for project preparation and management. Additionally, applicants must have been legally registered in Montenegro for at least 12 months before the submission deadline.

3) Location

Actions must take place in Montenegro.

4) Budget

The total budget for this call is €330,000, divided into two funding lots: Lot 1 with €49,500 (15% of the total budget) and Lot 2 with €280,500. Grants may range from €2,000-€30,000.

5) Application

The deadline for applications is March 7, 2025, at 16:00 CET. Proposals and required documents must be submitted via email in PDF format, except for the budget form, which must be sent in Excel format, to montenegro@cosv.org with the subject line YOUSEED Project Proposal, Grant Lot No. (1 or 2).
