Description
1) Objective
The DierenPark Amersfoort Wildlife Fund was founded by the DierenPark Amersfoort in order to support projects around the world that are concerned with nature conservation. The Fund particularly support projects and initiatives that support the conservation/protection of endangered species. The project support criteria involve the following: (1) the project contributes to the conservation of an endangered species, among others by protecting the natural habitat and via local education programs; (2) the species addressed in this project are part of the animal collection in Amersfoort Zoo; (3) the application should clearly reflect the involvement of the local community; and (4) the local involvement of NGO’s and /or universities in the implementation of the project is a must.
The Fund supports projects around the world when it comes to nature conservation and species preservation. For example: financial support of projects for endangered species, supporting research for veterinary medicine or helping to shelter animals.

Eligible are non-profit organizations.
3) Location
Actions can take place worldwide.
4) Budget
In the past, project applications were granted for amounts ranging from €1,000 to €5,000 euro (sometimes exceptions to €8,000-€10,000 euro).
5) Application
Only applications made through the application form will be considered. The board meets 3 times per year and evaluates the applications based on the criteria that can be found on our website. The application form (and not the appendices) is leading in the assessment of the applications. The next deadline for applications is 22 December 2023.
