Description
1) Objective
The Czech Republic perceives the need to help the development of civil society and thus contribute to the spread of democracy, the rule of law and the protection of human rights. In this context, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Nigeria is launching a call for proposals for Local Transformation Projects in its countries of competence.
The project must relate to one of the TRANS priority areas:
- civil society, including human rights defenders;
- freedom of expression and access to information, including media freedom;
- equal political and public participation;
- building rule of law institutions;
- equality and non-discrimination;
- protection of human rights in employment and environmental issues.
2) Eligibility
Only local non-governmental non-profit organisations may submit an application.
3) Location
Actions must take place in Nigeria.
4) Budget
The financial contribution for an LTP is from 100,000 CZK to 500,000 CZK. Co-financing from other sources is arbitrary and desirable.
5) Application
Only serious applicants are kindly requested to carefully read and fill in the enclosed identification form properly and send it to the following email: Abuja.Commerce@mzv.gov.cz (subject: Local Transition Project 2025) no later than 31 October 2024, 4 pm.
