Description
1) Objective
In accordance with the priorities of the Action Plan on Human Rights and Democracy (2020 – 2024), the Neighborhood Instrument, Development Cooperation and International Cooperation – Global Europe, the European Union Guidelines on Human Rights, the Country Strategy on Human Rights and Democracy and the Mexico Plan for the Implementation of the Rights and Democracy Program, the global objective of the Lot 1 of this call for proposals is to protect and empower people within a framework of respect to human rights. The specific objective of Lot 1 of this call for proposals is: advocate public policies regarding the right of women, girls and adolescents to live a life free of violence.
The overall objective of Lot 2 of this call for proposals is: to carry out actions that promote the job placement of young people between 18 and 30 years old in their region of origin and contribute to the construction of policies public in favor of youth and sustainable development.
The overall objective of lot 3 of this call is to guarantee the participation of civil society in the definition, implementation and monitoring of public policies in favor of the health and well-being of young people.
2) Eligibility
In order to be eligible for a grant, the lead applicant must: (1) be a legal person and (2) be non-profit-making and (3) be a civil society organisation; and (4) be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary.
3) Location
Actions must take place in Mexico.
4) Budget
The overall indicative amount made available under this call for proposals is €7,149,000. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum €500,000 and maximum €1,000,000. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum (65%) and maximum (95%) percentage of total eligible costs of the action.
5) Application
The concept note together with the declaration by the lead applicant must be submitted online via PROSPECT. The deadline for the submission is 31 January 2025.
