Description
1) Objective
The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Beirut is launching its annual call for proposals for the Small Scale Projects (SSP) for the year 2024.
Small Scale Projects are instruments of bilateral development cooperation of the Czech Republic under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic. These projects are directly managed by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Beirut. Through the SSPs, the Czech Republic supports small-scale development projects carried out directly by local stakeholders in accordance with the beneficiary country´s national development priorities.
All projects should be in accordance with the national development strategy and promote gender equality and respect for the environment. The SSPs should also contribute to increasing the visibility of the Czech Republic in Lebanon.
2) Eligibility
Only subjects that can demonstrate their independent legal status in Lebanon can submit SSP proposal(s). The majority of SSP funding is to be directed toward local civil society organizations (including non-governmental organizations) and other institutions working at the local level.
3) Location
Actions must take place in Lebanon.
4) Budget
Funding provided by the Czech Republic for each project ranges between 200 000 CZK (approx. 8 000 USD) to maximum limit 500 000 CZK (approx. 20 000 USD).
5) Application
Interested entities should submit their applications to the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Beirut no later than Friday, September 15, 2023.
