Description
1) Objective
The Cambodia Media Development (CMD) Activity, funded by USAID/Cambodia, seeks to bolster the diversity and reliability of news and information sources available to Cambodian citizens, empowering them to engage more effectively in civic life. The CMD initiative encompasses three primary objectives. The first objective is to institutionalize independent platforms, enhancing their capacity to gather and disseminate trustworthy news to Cambodian audiences. The second objective focuses on innovation, aiming to diversify the means and methods by which Cambodians receive reliable, independent news and information. The third objective is to build resilience, enhancing the cohesion, security, and durability of Cambodia’s independent media sector.
Through these objectives, the CMD Activity aspires to create a robust media environment that supports democratic governance and informed public participation.
