Description
1) Objective
The “CLEAR Corruption from Montenegro” initiative, led by the U.S. Mission to Montenegro and supported by the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL), aims to address the pervasive issue of corruption in Montenegro. By targeting illicit activities, including corruption and transnational crime, the program seeks to enhance democratic institutions, strengthen the rule of law, and promote stability in Montenegro.
Through strategic interventions and foreign assistance programs, the initiative endeavors to disrupt illicit drug markets, combat corruption, and strengthen criminal justice systems. Ultimately, the goal is to protect American lives, enhance national security, and support the development of stable, rights-respecting partners in Montenegro.
2) Eligibility
Eligible applicants for this grant opportunity include Montenegrin not-for-profit organizations, such as think tanks, civil society/non-governmental organizations, professional associations, and other trustworthy organizations with a proven track record.
3) Location
Actions must take place in Montenegro.
4) Budget
The total program funding available is $500,000, with an award ceiling of $250,000 and an award floor of $50,000. There is no cost-sharing or matching requirement for applicants.
