Description
1) Objective
The main objective of the call is to enable the development of innovative and scalable coding activities; supporting initiatives that integrate coding into educational contexts and promote engagement; supporting community engagement and fostering collaboration between stakeholders; prioritizing projects that bridge gender gaps and promote diversity in STEM education.
The purpose of this call for proposals is to identify and support effective local coding projects that are in line with the mission of EU Code Week to promote coding, computational thinking and digital skills across Europe. The call is in line with the initiative: “Strengthening digital skills for young people, especially girls”.
2) Eligibility
Eligible applicants include (from Slovakia and the Czech Republic): schools (primary, secondary, grammar schools), non-governmental organisations (NGOs); coding clubs.
3) Location
Actions must take place in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
4) Budget
Grants will be awarded to the 3 best successful applicants from Slovakia and the Czech Republic in the amount of EUR 2,500 for the first place, EUR 1,500 for the second place and EUR 1,000 for the third place. The selection will be based on the quality and impact of the proposals. Proposals will be assessed on the basis of criteria such as clarity, feasibility, impact on education and consistency with EU Code Week objectives.
5) Application
Interested parties are invited to submit a project proposal by February 15, 2026.
