Description

1) Objective

Through 26 projects across nine states in India, nearly 1.3 million people get access to primary health care. Wipro Foudnation partners in delivering good quality healthcare services to underprivileged communities around their  locations and in remote, underserved areas. Apart from providing regular health services, the emphasis is also to build the communities’ capacity in terms of higher awareness and developing a higher degree of self-reliance to handle their own primary healthcare needs.

Their primary healthcare program predominantly focuses on maternal and child care. They are also deepening the scope of our work in community healthcare through expansion in the areas of mental health and school health. Projects are implemented through registered non-governmental organizations. The organizations should have a clear set of objectives and expected outcomes focused on providing primary healthcare to the underserved community and address issues around affordability and accessibility of quality healthcare, with easily replicable and scalable models to bring about an improvement in awareness and inculcating habits that enable healthy living for the community.

The grant only supports Operations and Human Resources expenses.
