1) Objective

Sight and Life is a humanitarian nutrition think tank delivering innovative solutions to eliminate all forms of malnutrition in children and women of childbearing age and improve the lives of the world’s most vulnerable population. Sight and Life Foundation emphasises the need to work in partnership with others in a way that is collaborative, supportive, and transparent. It supports projects within the following three strategic areas: (1) advancing nutrition research; (2) facilitating the sharing of best practice as a key driver for advancing knowledge and building capacity; and (3) mobilising support to ensure that nutrition for the world’s most vulnerable populations. The Sight and Life travel support grant is designed to assist students or young professionals to travel to, and attend a relevant meeting, conference, or workshop. The
focus will be on conferences that are in line with the Sight and Life mission, vision and strategic focus.

2) Eligibility

Students and young professionals are eligible to apply.

3) Location

Actions can take place in various countries worldwide.

4) Budget

Sight and Life will give preference to grant applications where co-funding has been secured.

5) Application

Sight and Life will review the applications once per month. If the grant is awarded, the grantee will be required to send an article on the congress/session (no more than 1500 words) and picture for possible publication in the Sight and Life Magazine. Submissions must be addressed to info(a) The following documents are required to be submitted for the Travel Grant application: (1) Current Curriculum Vitae; (2) Letter of motivation; (3) Letter of acceptance from the conference organization, in case of a presentation (oral of poster); (4) total costs separately indicating travel fees, accommodation and per diem in both the local currency in the country of the meeting/conference/workshop and in Euros; (5) portion of the costs you are requesting from Sight and Life and who will be funding the other associated costs; and (6) full banking details for foreign payments 1 together with the reference that must be quoted when the payment is made.
