Description

1) Objective

Hertfordshire Zoo is pleased to offer five short term grants for conservation projects around the world. The funding is for one year only with the following criteria: The project must demonstrate clear conservation value to the focal species, landscape or ecosystem. Funding can cover field work for students and researchers but must demonstrate the conservation value of the work.

The organisation must provide high quality content, and a report at the end of the project year. Project must not start any later than Oct 2025, lasting no more than 12 months. Projects contributing to a long term sustainable action are preferred. Historical recipients of this grant must wait two years before applying again.

2) Eligibility

The organisation must be based in species, landscape or ecosystem range country.

3) Location

Actions can take place worldwide.

4) Budget

Maximum amount available is £1,000 per project. The project does not need to obtain co-funding. Funding will not cover tuition fees.

5) Application

Aplications close on 30 June 2025.
