Description

1) Objective

The overall objective of this call for proposals is: Contribute to the creation and consolidation of decent and sustainable livelihoods alternative to coca cultivation in Bolivia.

The specific objectives of this call for proposals are:
1. Improved alternative agricultural and agroecological practices of small producers within or around coca leaf production areas
2. Improved economic, social, environmental and equity functioning of value chains alternatives to coca leaf
3. Improved quality of income-generating activities alternatives to leaf production coca, in or around coca leaf production areas

The geographical priorities of this call for proposals are:
• LOT 1: Sustainable and resilient alternative systems to climate change in the Yungas and North of La Paz
• LOT 2: Sustainable and resilient alternative systems to climate change in the Cochabamba tropics

2) Eligibility

In order to be eligible for a grant, the lead applicant must: (1) be a legal person and (2) be non-profit-making and (3) be a civil society organisation and (4) be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary.

3) Location

Actions must take place in Bolivia.

4) Budget

The overall indicative amount made available under this call for proposals is €4,000,000. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum €500,000 and maximum €1,000,000. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum (60%) and maximum (90%) percentage of total eligible costs of the action.

5) Application

The concept note together with the declaration by the lead applicant must be submitted online via PROSPECT. The deadline for the submission is 23 October 2023.
