Description
1) Objective
The ISTAT Foundation’s mission is to support individuals and institutions that promote the advancement of commercial aviation and humanitarianism. The COVID-19 pandemic has, and will continue to have, massive implications for the travel, tourism and aviation industry. Therefore, in addition to the Foundation’s 2020 planned annual giving through its Scholarship, Internships, Education, Grants and Humanitarian Programs, ISTAT, by way of the Foundation, has committed an additional US$500,000 for the purpose of global COVID-19 relief.
2) Eligibility
The Foundation is seeking applications from established, registered non-profit, non-governmental organizations worldwide that are directly responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, have an aviation connection and a strong financial need. Priority will be given to organizations that are providing support to regions that have been significantly impacted by the COVID-19 virus but may have limited indigenous sources of funding such as Africa, Asia and South America.
3) Location
Actions can take place in various countries worldwide.
4) Budget
Applicants are able to apply for a minimum of US$25,000 and a maximum of US$100,000.
5) Application
Please send applications to istatfoundation(a)istat.org. Applicants will be notified on the status of their application no more than two weeks after the application has been submitted. Applicants may be subject to further review upon request from the ISTAT Foundation COVID-19 Relief Grant Subcommittee. COVID-19 Relief Grants will be awarded until the budgeted funds have been depleted; therefore, it is encouraged to submit applications as soon as possible.
