Cross-border Programme North Macedonia – Albania under the Instrument of Pre-accession Assistance (IPA III)

Description

1) Objective

In line with the objectives specified in the programme document, the global objective of this call for proposals is: to promote good neighbourly relations, foster Union integration and contribute to social, economic and territorial development of the programme cross-border area by improving environment protection and disaster response, and developing sustainable natural and cultural tourism.

As a result of a decision made by the JMC of the programme on 29.02.2024, the two thematic priorities of the programme are:

• Priority 1: Environment protection, climate change adaptation and mitigation, risk prevention and management
• Priority 2: Tourism and cultural and natural heritage

2) Eligibility

In order to be eligible for a grant, the lead applicant must: (1) be a legal person and (2) be a specific type of organisation such as: government units, national parks, ministries and national agencies, agencies for local and/or regional development, civil society organisations, etc. and (3) be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary.

3) Location

Actions can take place in Albania and North Macedonia.

4) Budget

The overall indicative amount made available under this call for proposals is €2,890,000. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum €400,000 and maximum €800,000. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum (60%) and maximum (85%) percentage of total eligible costs of the action.

5) Application

The concept note together with the declaration by the lead applicant must be submitted online via PROSPECT. The deadline for the submission is 26 June 2024.
