Direct Aid Program (DAP) Mexico

1) Objective

The Australian Embassy in Mexico is pleased to announce the new call for the DAP program. All DAP projects must have a development focus and directly support people with limited resources or disadvantaged persons. Although the general objective of the DAP is to alleviate poverty, the DAP committee has identified the following priority sectors and groups beneficiaries for the 2015-2016 fiscal year: Priority sectors are: (1) Gender equity and empowerment of girls and women; (2) Management and transparency of natural resources; (3) Human rights and governance; (4) Reduction of disaster risk and climate change; (5) Sports and culture; (6) Poverty reduction; (7) Community health. Beneficiary groups are: girls and women; people with disabilities; migrants; indigenous communities; and youth.

2) Eligibility

Eligible applicants are: Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), academic, governmental and research institutions.

3) Location

Actions must take place in Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, and Panama.

4) Budget

The financing amounts per project will be up to a maximum of $20,000 AUD. (approx. $13,500).

5) Application

Expressions of Interest will be received from Thursday, August 1, 2019 to Sunday, September 1, 2019 until 11:00 p.m. (local time in Mexico City). Expressions of Interest will be filled online.
