Description
1) Objective
This call has two lots:
- Lot 1: Civil Society Thematic Program (NDICI – CSO)
Global objective: Promote an inclusive, articulated and empowered civil society, as an independent actor of development and good governance, with social-political recognition and effective participation in the promotion and elimination of inequalities in the Dominican Republic.
Specific objective: Promote the role of civil society as a competent, legitimate and value-added interlocutor in dialogue spaces in relation to public policies and development processes with the public and private sectors. - Lot 2: Human Rights & Democracy Thematic Program (NDICI – HRD)
General Objective: promotion and protection of human rights, fundamental freedoms, democracy and the rule of law in the Dominican Republic.
Specific objective: to promote, protect and monitor respect for human rights in all its aspects and to safeguard the Rule of Law and Democracy.
2) Eligibility
In order to be eligible for a grant, the lead applicant must: (1) be a legal person and (2) be non-profit-making and (3) be a civil society organisation; and (4) be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary.
3) Location
Actions must take place in Dominican Republic.
4) Budget
The overall indicative amount made available under this call for proposals is €5,282,000. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum €500,000 and maximum €850,000. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum (70%) and maximum (95%) percentage of total eligible costs of the action.
5) Application
