Description

1) Objective

The U.S. Embassy Yerevan, through the Department of State, is seeking proposals to advance English language proficiency among target audiences in Armenia. This initiative aims to promote English language learning, foster an understanding of U.S. culture and values, and empower youth through skills-development activities. Specifically, the program focuses on displaced Armenian youth from Nagorno-Karabakh (NK), providing them with English language skills and capacity-building opportunities to facilitate integration into the workforce and broader society. By addressing the unique challenges faced by this demographic, the program aims to enhance their prospects for professional development and employment, ultimately contributing to their long-term inclusion and resilience.

2) Eligibility

Eligible applicants include not-for-profit organizations, educational institutions, and foreign public entities from both Armenia and the United States. Priority will be given to proposals involving beneficiaries from underprivileged and underserved communities, particularly focusing on the displaced Armenian youth of Nagorno-Karabakh.

3) Location

Actions must be implemented in Armenia.

4) Budget

The total program funding available is $100,000, with an award ceiling and floor set at $100,000 each. There is no cost-sharing or matching requirement for applicants.

5) Application

Interested organizations can submit their applications by May 12, 2024, 11:59 PM local time in Armenia. Detailed information about the application process, eligibility criteria, and program requirements can be found in the Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) provided by the U.S. Embassy Yerevan. For further assistance or inquiries, applicants can contact the U.S. Embassy Yerevan at the provided phone number or email address.
