Description
1) Objective
The global objective of this call for proposals is: to support the capacity and the initiatives of Kyrgyz civil society and human rights defenders to contribute to the upholding of the democratic principles, to the promotion and protection of human and social rights and to the strengthening of their role as independent actors of democratic governance and development.
The specific objective of this call for proposals is to promote: Safeguarding fundamental freedoms, including harnessing the opportunities and addressing the challenges of new technologies: to create and maintain an environment conducive to the full exercise of all fundamental freedoms, online and offline.
2) Eligibility
In order to be eligible for a grant, the lead applicant must: (1) be a legal person and (2) be non-profit-making and (3) be a specific type of organisation, such as: non-governmental organisation (international organisations are ineligible) and (4) be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary.
3) Location
Actions must take place in Kyrgyz Republic.
4) Budget
The overall indicative amount made available under this call for proposals is €920,000. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum €780,000 and maximum €920,000. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum (70%) and maximum (95%) percentage of total eligible costs of the action.
5) Application
The concept notes together with the declaration by the lead applicant must be submitted online via PROSPECT. The deadline for the submission is 3 June 2025.
