Description
1) Objective
The initiative aims to fully immunize zero-dose children in 25 priority districts of Bihar, India. It addresses the low immunization coverage exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. The focus is on measles outbreaks, socio-economic barriers, and vaccine hesitancy. The project intends to enhance the capacity of frontline workers and community influencers, establish Community Feedback Mechanisms, and achieve a 95% Full Immunization Coverage (FIC) by December 2026. The approach includes targeting systemic healthcare delivery gaps and mobilizing community engagement for vaccination.
