Description
1) Objective
The Hans-Eggenberger Foundation supports innovative and potentially scalable development projects with a thematic focus on education and welfare, health services and nursing, and arts and science. While most of the funds are distributed among organisations implementing projects in Switzerland, in some exceptional cases the Foundation provides support to international projects which, however, need to be in related to Switzerland in some way.
2) Eligibility
The Hans Eggenberger Foundation promotes concrete, self-contained and applied on a broad impact individual projects. In particular, it supports institutions or groups with high convincing projects.
3) Location
They fund projects in Switzerland and worldwide (projects with a connection to Switzerland).
4) Budget
A budget plan should be submitted. Co-funding is required. Grant size depends on the need of the project and type of organisation.
5) Application
Applications are only accepted via mail and have to be signed by the project initiator. Applications shall include a project description briefly outlining the project idea, information about the applying organisation (including e.g. annual reports and information about the personnel involved in the project), a budget plan, and information about existing or expected third-party financiers. The Board of the Foundation will discuss whether or not a project will receive funding and will get in touch with the applicant subsequently. There are four board meetings a year (March, June, September, December).
