Description
1) Objective
IPE Activity will increase access to safe, quality basic education for children and youth by improving socio-economic opportunities, contributing to the multi-sectoral impacts of violence prevention efforts, and decreasing irregular migration. This will be achieved through evidence- informed interventions under three results.
1. Enhanced Governance for Effectiveness, Transparency, and Responsiveness in the Education System
2. Increased Access to and Retention in Inclusive, Quality Education, Particularly for the most Marginalized Learners
3. Improved Safety in and around Schools
The purpose of the IPE Activity is to increase access to safe learning environments, and to relevant, and quality basic education for children and youth, particularly the most marginalized in communities with high violence and outmigration targeted by USAID. Increased education access, ensuring safe learning spaces, and improved quality in service provision will result in more citizens (stakeholders, families, and youth) committed to education as a means for productive and fulfilling lives in Honduras, thus contributing to higher level Mission objectives of decreasing irregular migration and preventing violence.
