Description
1) Objective
The FCDO invites bids by 25 April 2025 for Georgian non-profit organisations to support the effective delivery of the Georgian municipal elections in October 2025. The British Embassy in Tbilisi has a goal of supporting the delivery of Georgian elections that are held to the highest possible standards, in which all sections of the Georgian population are able to express their opinions.
This programme is designed to deliver the following policy objectives:
- all sections of the Georgian population are equipped to make informed choices on which political party best represents their interests through voter information campaigns
- Georgian voters, including under-represented groups are inspired to participate in municipal elections through voter information campaigns
- effective international and local election observation takes place, with sufficient international and domestic observers to establish conclusively whether the elections have been conducted to the highest possible standards
- credible and effective post-election reporting provides enough information to British Embassy Tbilisi on the extent to which the elections have been delivered to the highest standards
