Description

1) Objective 

Green Leaves Education Foundation is a charitable Foundation under Swiss law which was established in 2013. They foster education of pecuniary underprivileged in Switzerland and abroad, including, but not limited to, developing countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America. In order to achieve this purpose, they support:

  • support education projects on all levels (primary school, middle school, high school/college, university), but not individuals and not continued education;
  • support vocational training projects, but not individuals;
  • support the establishment and maintenance of education and training facilities;
  • covering a wide diversity of education/training costs from school fees, costs of learning material, salaries of teachers, transportation costs, till living expenses during the education/training

2) Eligibility 

Non-profit organisations are eligible to apply. They tend to partner with Swiss-registered NGOs mainly who work in partnership with local organisations.

3) Location 

They have no defined focus countries and currently fund projects in Asia, Africa and Latin America (i.e., Mexico, Mali, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Laos, Namibia, Nepal, Colombia, South Africa, El Salvador, Madagascar).

4) Budget 

Grants sizes are not displayed.

5) Application 

The online application form can be sent throughout the year. It should contain: detailed project description including a project budget, last annual report (including annual accounts), description of the problem, results, monitoring and evaluation, sustainability, timetable and key staff. Only applications in English or German language are considered.
