Description
1) Objective
The Embassy of Ireland in Buenos Aires launches the call for the In-Country Micro Project Scheme (ICMPS) 2025 program, aimed at supporting projects that seek to promote sustainable development in local communities in Argentina and Paraguay. ICMPS funds support strategic projects with a focus on local capacity building and community ownership. Priority is given to those initiatives that seek to reach disadvantaged communities and are aligned with A Better World – Ireland’s international development policy.
The program supports projects that contribute to one or more of the following objectives:
- Strengthen the voice of local communities to influence political decisions that affect them
- Prevent hunger and improve food security.
- Improve access to essential services such as education, health and HIV prevention, care and support programs.
- Improve access and control of resources for marginalized communities.
- Promote and guarantee human rights.
- Promote the empowerment of women, the LGBTQ+ collective and promote gender equality, including initiatives against gender violence and trafficking in women.
- Promote environmental sustainability, in particular initiatives that combat climate change.
2) Eligibility
Local, non-profit and autonomous organizations of the State, with legal capacity to receive international funds and that have legal personality, can apply.
3) Location
Actions must take place in Argentina and Paraguay.
4) Budget
Maximum amount is up to €10,000 per project (the money must be spent in the 12-month period). ICMPS covers up to 70% of the total cost of the project. The applicant organization must provide at least 30%.
5) Application
The application deadline is 30 May 2025.
