Jiv Daya Foundation was established in 2002. The India program focuses on (1) pediatric oncology; (2) palliative care; (3) maternal health; (4) amputee assistance; (5) Covid Food Support. Their international giving is focused on improving medical treatment to patients in need in India. They mainly fund human capital in health. Human capital means additional staff for a hospital unit etc. JDF rarely funds research projects, requests for equipment support, or requests for funding for meetings. They mainly fund capacity building.
Regarding the Covid-19 Food support: If an organisation has recognized an acute need for COVID-19 relief and support in the community, they can fill out the Donation Request form from their website about the organization and send it to teamindia(a)jivdayafound.org.
They accept proposals from charitable organizations, public hospitals, or clinics from around the world.
JDF is currently funding projects that support over 100 sites located in India.
No upper and lower budget limits are provided. JDF rarely funds research projects, requests for equipment support, or requests for funding for meetings.
JDF maintains an open grant request policy and reviews all proposals as they arrive. Applicants may apply for a grant at any time.
