Description
1) Objective
The Programme aims to remain a platform where the links between the participating countries are strengthened and new ones are created and where the regional actors get together and contribute to a sustainable management of resources for the benefit of local citizens. It will further deepen the cross-border cooperation in the Black Sea Basin in a transnational configuration, supporting three specific objectives:
- Developing and enhancing research and innovation capacities;
- Promoting climate change adaptation and disaster risk prevention;
- Enhancing protection and preservation of nature, biodiversity and green infrastructure.
2) Eligibility
Eligible are:
– Public authorities (e.g. regional/county council, local council, municipality, ministries, etc.);
– Bodies governed by public law (e.g. state/regional owned institutes, universities and educational institutions, regional development agencies, nature parks and protected areas management bodies, research institutes, etc.);
– Non-profit organizations (e.g. associations, unions, foundations, private universities if their legal status is of a non-profit organization, Local Action Groups, Euro regions, European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation, etc.)
3) Location
Actions must take place in Moldova, Romania, Turkey, Georgia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Greece.
4) Budget
The indicative amount of Interreg allocation made available under this Call for Proposals is of €26,610,390. The Interreg co-financing rate is maximum 90%. The selected regular project will have the following characteristics:
– Budget: minimum €500,001 – maximum €1,500,000 (Interreg funds);
– Partnership: minimum 4 – maximum 6 eligible organisations from at least 3 different participating countries including at least one from a EU Member State and one from a participating partner country, maximum 2 partners from the same country, and
– Duration: up to 30 months.
