1) Objective

The aim of this project is to target young girls and women, high-risk, youth and men, and women at a substantial risk of contracting HIV with combination prevention services and ensure that these services are offered as part of a larger network of sexual and reproductive health services. Consequently, this project will provide these services as part of a package of services that also includes education on safe sex, condom use and provision, and healthy gender norms, as well as HIV testing and all information on HTS (and referrals to care and treatment, if necessary) and the prevention and management of sexually transmitted infections.

A greater emphasis is needed on expanding access to services both inside and outside of clinic settings; including male-friendly services; community-based HIV testing, self-testing; linkages to early antiretroviral treatment as needed, condoms, pre-exposure and post-exposure prophylaxis, comprehensive sexuality education and other sexual and reproductive health services, and harm reduction. Systematic efforts to advance gender-inclusive norms and reduce gender-based violence will be core to the program.

2) Eligibility

Eligibility for this NOFO is restricted to local (Malawian) and Regional (Southern African Development Community – SADC) organizations. Applications from organizations that have not previously received financial assistance from USAID are welcome if the Applicant determines that it has necessary capacity to implement projects of the magnitude such as this one.

3) Location

Actions must take place in Malawi.

4) Budget

Grants may range up to $18,250,000. They want to fund one award.

5) Application

All applications must be submitted before 22 June 2023. All prime organizations, whether based in the United States or in another country, must have a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI), formerly referred to as DUNS, and an active registration with the SAM.gov before submitting an application.  Additionally, a NCAGE number is required.
