Description
1) Objective
The British Embassy in Beirut aims to establish a cedar tree trail to mark the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III.
The project seeks to support the deforestation in Lebanon by planting Lebanese Cedar Trees (Cedrus Libani) a part of the Climate Diplomacy Fund (CDF). The project implementer is expected to have a strong working knowledge and experience of planting and maintaining cedar tree trails in Lebanon.
2) Eligibility
The British Embassy in Beirut is inviting local Lebanese NGOs to bid for grant funding to establish a cedar tree trail.
3) Location
Actions must take place in Lebanon.
4) Budget
This project has a maximum budget of £7,000 from 1 September 2023 to 30 November 2023. The Supplier is expected to spend 100% of the agreed annual budget by the end of December of each calendar year. The term of the Call-Off Contract is expected to be up to 3 months. The contract is anticipated to commence on 1 September 2023 and end on 30 November 2023. However, the implementation of the objectives should be concluded before the 10 of November 2023.
