Description
1) Objective
EA Foundation is excited to announce the launch of a new grants round opening on Monday 9th October 2023. Funding is open to UK-registered charities for projects, both internationally and in the UK, which align to at least one of our 4 funding priorities as follows:
- provide educational opportunities, particularly for disadvantaged individuals and communities
- improve access to basic services and infrastructure to disadvantaged communities, including but not limited to healthcare, clean water and electricity
- support people in reduced circumstances, without sufficient means, or those who are experiencing times of need thereby
- providing important support for the relief of poverty or other forms of disadvantage such as disability
- address environmental challenges and promote sustainable development, both and through the pursuit of the other key areas of focus listed here
2) Eligibility
Currently they mainly fund through UK-based organisations. Whilst they primarily fund through UK-based organisations, they welcome collaboration with multiple partners which can be based in the targeted geography.
3) Location
They fund projects all over the world which demonstrate a strong alignment to their strategic pillars.
4) Budget
They have not specified any upper or lower limits to the budget, as they would like a realistic picture of the true costs of their work. However, based on the current giving trends to date, the grants approved have averaged between £20,000 – £50,000 for an average duration of 12-24 months.
5) Application
Applications must be submitted through an online form on the Apply for Funding page. To prepare your application, you can also access a downloadable version. The deadline is 12 noon (BST/GMT) on Monday 6th November 2023.
