Description
1) Objective
Through a multisectoral response, the partner shall work with government, other actors and sectors to implement specialised programmes for the prevention, risk mitigation and response to GBV. Response activities will include survivor-centred case management, psychosocial support, legal referrals and support to GBV survivors (women, men, boys and girls) for other sector referral services such as health, etc. For GBV risk mitigation, the partner will work with community members, leaders, government, and other others create and maintain safe spaces for women, men, boys and girls.
Activities will aim at identifying, mitigating and addressing risks of GBV. GBV prevention activities shall be implemented through community-based protection approaches that strengthen the mobilisation and participation of women, men, girls and boys for the protection from violence and abuses. Activities will include Community awareness sessions and campaigns on GBV and Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), Capacity-building sessions for humanitarian actors, community leaders, and service providers to strengthened prevention, risk mitigation and response mechanisms, in line with UNHCR’s GBV and PSEA frameworks, empowerment and life skill sessions/ initiatives for women and adolescent girls and implementation of behavioural change approaches that promotes empowerment, resilience and recovery.
