Description
1) Objective
The Specific Objectives of this Call for Proposals are to:
• Raise awareness and contribute to policy change and encourage the community to take action to reduce stigma and break the taboo surrounding mental health services.
• Improve vulnerable boys and girls, young women and men access to quality psychosocial and mental health services in Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem.
• Enhance mental health and wellbeing of vulnerable youth.
The expected results of the campaign include:
1. Improved awareness of mental health stigma among young people, caregivers, and the public.
2. Increased access of the youth to mental health and psychosocial services.
3. Reduced mental health stigma and induced help-seeking behaviors among youth.
4. Strengthened cooperation and coordination among relevant stakeholders including members of the MHPSS working group, Ministry of Health, and community-based organizations to reduce duplication, and advocate for youth mental health.
5. Positively influenced decision making processes to encourage appropriate responses to youth MHPSS needs.
6. National youth mental health policies are advocated for.
2) Eligibility
In order to be eligible for a grant, the lead applicant must: (1) be a legal person and (2) be a non-profit private entity or a foundation; and (3) be established in Palestine.
3) Location
Actions must take place in Gaza, West Bank and East Jerusalem.
4) Budget
The total indicative amount available under this Call for Proposals is 149,793€. The contracting authority reserves the right not to award all the available funds.
5) Application
The deadline for submission of concept notes is 19 February 2023.
