Description
1) Objective
The CVC Coalition is calling for proposals to fund awareness campaigns targeted at reducing gender-based and intimate partner violence (GBV and IPV) among key population groups exacerbated by the Covid-19 pandemic. With a focus on education and community engagement, the campaigns aim to promote legal and social rights awareness, change community attitudes towards GBV and IPV, and reinforce services for survivors. The initiative supports community-based and social media strategies to address the increased vulnerability and rights violations of women, girls, transwomen, and men who have sex with men within the Caribbean region.
2) Eligibility
Eligible applicants include Civil Society Organizations serving key and vulnerable populations based in Belize, Jamaica, Suriname, Guyana, and Trinidad and Tobago.
3) Countries
The call for proposals targets organizations based in Belize, Jamaica, Suriname, Guyana, and Trinidad and Tobago.
4) Budget
Organizations can apply for a maximum of $5,000 USD per project. The budget allocation for salaries, stipends, incentives, and overheads should not exceed 40% of the total grant.
5) Application
Applications must include background, stakeholder groups, objectives with expected outputs, outcomes, impact, detailed activities, mainstreaming of cross-cutting issues, and a detailed budget. Proposals are to be submitted to communications@cvccoalition.org by November 21st, 2023, with the subject line “GBV Awareness Campaign Grant Proposal.”
