▪ Countries or regions/subregions that have recently or are currently experiencing a backsliding of development.
▪ Climate-related risks and their multidimensional consequences including food security and human mobility, among others.
▪ Digital transformation and technology, including solutions to address the dark side of technological advancement as well as to harness its potential for empowerment and agency.
▪ Youth engagement and a consideration of future generations and intergenerational collaboration.
▪ Strengthening comprehensive and integrated data analysis, collection and monitoring to better prevent, mitigate or respond to the multidimensional consequences of complex crises.
2) Eligibility
UN organizations who are bound by UN Financial Regulations and Rules are eligible to apply for funding from the UNTFHS. Please see section II of the UNTFHS Guidelines for more information. Applications submitted by individuals and non-UN organizations will not be accepted. However, the UNTFHS promotes programmes that engage a broad range of relevant partners, including national and local stakeholders, civil society and the private sector.
3) Location
This year the UNTFHS is seeking proposals focused on addressing the multidimensional challenges and advancing the SDGs in LDCs, LLDCs, SIDS, and the Sahel region.
