Description
1) Objective
The Rothschild Foundation Hanadiv Europe is a philanthropic foundation that supports a range of projects across Europe to ensure Jewish communal life and cultural heritage are sustained for future generations.
Youth movements and communal organisations may apply for projects that focus on enhancing the ability of the camp leadership to deliver meaningful and engaging educational programming. While camps depend on the capacity of the madrichim (youth leaders) at every level to inspire their chanichim (campers), our grants should ensure they develop the confidence to learn to draw on Jewish content and resources to maximise the Jewish experience.
2) Eligibility
The organisation’s activities must be deemed charitable under UK charity law, and they will require proof of its charitable status. This includes organisations which are either not-for-profit or publicly funded e.g., state or private libraries, archives, museums, research institutes, universities, cultural centres or non-profit organisations.
3) Location
Actions must take place in Europe including Ukraine, Russia and Belarus.
4) Budget
Requests for funding should range from a minimum of £10,000 per year to a maximum of £20,000 per year for up to 3 years (maximum total of £60,000). They will fund up to 85% of the project budget and at least 15% of the cost of the project will need to come from other funding sources.
5) Application
They have various grant rounds throughout the year (i.e., in autumn and spring). Applications must be submitted via the online portal.
