Description

1) Objective

UN Women Bangladesh seeks to partner with a national organization/women rights’ organization for the following outcome: Strengthened implementation of climate adaptation policy frameworks to address the differential needs of women, men, boys, girls, and gender-diverse groups in climate change adaptation actions.

The focus will be on three key areas aimed at strengthening the process of gender-responsive climate change adaptation and mitigation at both local and national levels:

1. Strengthen the ‘Gender’ and ‘Climate Change’ Focal Point system in the government of Bangladesh in seven key Ministries
2. Strengthen MOEFCC’s capacity to monitor the implementation of CCGAP
3. Strengthen Bangladesh Climate Change Trust’s capacity to invest in gender-responsive climate adaptation

2) Eligibility

Organisations must have: at least 10 years of demonstrated experience in implementing programmes on gender-responsive climate change, disaster risk reduction, gender equality, and women empowerment; and in formulating result-oriented, and monitoring frameworks based on indicators

3) Location

Actions must be implemented in Bangladesh.

4) Budget

The budget range for this proposal should be 25,000,000 BDT – 27,500,000 BDT.

5) Application

Proposals must be received by UN Women at the address specified not later than 17:00 Dhaka time on 20 November 2024.
