Description
1) Objective
The Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation has announced a public call titled “Science Hand in Hand” for funding NGO projects and programmes in the field of science for 2025. This call invites NGOs registered in Montenegro, with a focus on science and relevant recent experience, to submit proposals that align with the country’s strategic priorities. The main goals of the funded projects are to develop human and research capacities and to strengthen research and innovation in Montenegro. Priority issues addressed include low public recognition of science and research professions, limited youth interest in natural science studies, and the outdated nature of classical education compared to modern information-era demands.
Target groups for the projects include the general public, young talents and researchers, and established NGOs promoting science. Eligible activities cover science popularisation, improving science journalism, supporting researchers and education, networking, and organising events such as workshops, conferences, and competitions for students and young scientists. Although NGOs may submit multiple applications, only one project per NGO can be funded.
2) Eligibility
Eligible are NGOs.
3) Location
Actions must take place in Montenegro.
4) Budget
The total funding available is €100,000 with individual grants ranging from €10,000 to €20,000.
5) Application
