Description
1) Objective
The Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs of the U.S. Department of State announces an open competition for organizations to submit applications to carry out a project to strengthen the entire value chain of the justice system in El Salvador in response to gender-based violence (GBV). The purpose of this project is to decrease revictimization and reduce impunity through improved victims’ services with a comprehensive and holistic approach, aligned to local laws and international conventions.
2) Eligibility
Eligible applicants include U.S.-based non-profit/non-governmental organizations (NGOs), U.S.-based educational institutions subject to section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. tax code, U.S.-based educational institutions subject to section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. tax code or section 26 US 115 of the US 115 of the U.S. tax code, foreign-based (outside of El Salvador) non-profits/non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and foreign-based (outside of El Salvador) educational institutions.
3) Location
Actions must take place in El Salvador.
4) Budget
The grant size is from $1,300,000 to $1,500,000.
