The Rolex Awards identify and invest in exceptional people around the world who are carrying out pioneering projects. Rolex Laureates are of all nationalities and backgrounds. They are united by a talent for independent thinking and the capacity to embrace projects that require creativity and determination in the face of considerable odds.
Rolex is seeking innovative projects in the five following areas: science and health; the environment; applied technology; exploration; cultural heritage. The five Laureates will receive substantial funding and worldwide publicity to assist with their projects. They will also be granted access to the Rolex community of Laureates for advice and guidance.
The Rolex Awards are open to anyone over 18 years of age, of any nationality. The application must be completed by the person who plays a leading role in the project or the organization. Candidates can apply in English, simplified Chinese and Spanish.
Actions can take place in various countries worldwide.
Laureates receive a cash grant of 200,000 Swiss francs to advance their projects. In addition, Rolex ensures winners receive access to its network of 150 Laureates, international publicity through media coverage and a Rolex chronometer. The five Laureates selected will receive a cash grant, a Rolex chronometer and worldwide publicity.
Applications can be submitted anytime between between 17 March and 17 October 2022 (12 noon Switzerland time, GMT +2) via the online application portal.
