Description
1) Objective
The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Cairo is launching its annual call for proposals for the Small Scale Projects (SSPs) for 2023. The Small Scale Projects (SSP) are one of the instruments of the development cooperation of the Czech Republic. SSP are identified by the respective Embassies of the Czech Republic (through applications submitted by potential implementers) and approved by headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA). SSP aims to contribute to the local subject by small-scale development activities in accordance with the beneficiary country´s national development priorities.
The aim of the project is to support local implementer´s activities in the following areas:
- Supporting civil society, including human rights defenders;
- Promoting freedom of expression and information, including freedom of the media;
- Promoting an equal and full political and public participation;
- Supporting institution-building in the area of the rule of law;
- Promoting equality and non-discrimination;
- Promoting human rights in employment and the environmental context.
2) Eligibility
A project can only be proposed and implemented by a local entity that has legal subjectivity in Egypt (NGOs, networks, platforms, umbrella organizations of NGOs).
3) Location
Actions must take place in Egypt.
4) Budget
The financial contribution for a project is up to 500,000 CZK (approx. 20,300 EUR). One organization may apply for one project only.
5) Application
All applications have to be sent to the Embassy of the Czech Republic in electronic form no later than Saturday 29 October 2022.
